Belarusian potato babka (vegetarian)

My husband is a big fan of this dish :)
Usually people make it with pork or bacon. But we like it in plain vegetarian style. Or with chicken/duck/goose meat like my mother makes when we visit her. She lives in the countryside and grows chickens and geese.

This potato babka was made from 2 kg grated potatoes and 2 eggs. Salt. Olive oil for greasing pan.
It was baked 1,5 hour in the oven under 200 degrees C.
We ate it with Turkish yogurt (but it can be sour cream or Crème fraîche).

Sourdough bread

A morning is good when you have some freshly baked bread, hot and flavourful... This morning was very good and delicious :) I could only dream about adding this summer's honey to this loaf of sourdough bread.

Borscht

Borscht is a sour soup common in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. In English, the word "borscht" is most often associated with the soup's variant of Ukrainian origin, made with beetroots as one of the main ingredients, which give the dish its distinctive red color... (source: Wikipedia)
