Hello!
Here are my photographs about February. In Turku where we live now February had some frost, snow and sun. For me, it was the sunniest month of the year there :) And I'm very happy about it.
And it was also a juicy month with lots of oranges and blood oranges. Yummy!
Once we walked to a lake with some tea and cakes. There were many people who were skiing and skating there. It was interesting to watch them. It was a very happy day with lots of sun.
Well, February was a month of crepes :) We ate them with maple and agave syrup, fruit, peanut butter and homemade raspberry jam...
A crepe with maple syrup was the most delicious to me :) Yes, I have sweet teeth sometimes...
We had a vegan chocolate cake with pineapple on St. Valentine's day. I hoped that it would be better but it was better than it could, for a vegan version. So we almost ate it up on that day :)
One day I made six vegan croissants with coconut oil. Not perfect, without many layers but delicious for homemade croissant. I'm planning to make them again soon.
There was some baked bread, of course, but nothing special. So I didn't take any photos.
February was full of knitting.
I finished my new sweater of baby alpaca wool. Very soft and warm :) I'm wearing it every time when I go for a walk. It's very comfortable. And the size fits me very well. I really like what I made.
After that I knitted a skirt. Oh, I'm so happy about it! I was planning for it a couple of years and now I have it at last... It's also very soft and warm.
And a new project began in February. I'm so proud of myself that I learnt how to knit an open-work pattern. I always think that it is very difficult but now I know that I can make it. A little patience and it'll be almost done. Yes!
And of course I began to long for the spring already :) There have been lots of plants and flowers in our home...
A common fig tree
This succulent plant is acheveria. It is a new little thing in my home.
And the scent of spring. Some branches of birdcherry, apple, birch and shadbush. Very good flavour :) Fresh and sweet...
March in the lead :)
Have a good time!
And lots of happiness and flowers!
Best wishes,
Katrin
